support the squadron

As a Squadron we try and offer as many activities as we can to our cadets. A number of those are supported by the RAF and the wider MoD, however the vast majority of our activities, equipment and extra costs we have to raise our own funds for. Our major expenditure is that of running costs for our own Squadron minibus, and Duke of Edinburgh equipment.

We think it's important to be able to support all of our cadets when they want to undertake any of the activities we offer, that includes being able to transport those who would never be able to do so themselves. The same goes for providing equipment, especially for Adventure Training. The costs for this can be very high, and we don't believe cadets should be prevented from taking part due to costs.

How can you help?

We are always on the look out for opertunities for funding, be that a Government grant, national or from a local body, or support from business through their charity schemes. If you are part of the business that operates such a scheme and you think you could help, we would love to hear from you.

We are not shy when it comes to helping ourselves either. Our cadets take part in annual fund raisers such as bag packing at local supermarkets, helping out at local events and taking part in group charity events. The cadets even raise money to help support other charities aswell such as the Poppy Appeal and more.
