All Air Cadet units rely almost entirely on their vehicle fleets, and 216 Squadron is no exception. For years cadets from 216 Squadron have been arriving in style to events in their LDV Convoy minibus, but unfortunatly our minibus has now started to show it's age, both mechanically and asthetically.

 

Operation Transport is a fundraising activity for 216 (Redditch) Squadron. It is an attempt to raise enough money for us to be able to replace our ageing P reg minibus with a newer form of transport.

 

The bus is now almost totally unreliable, with a list of mechanical deficiencies that is costing the Squadron value funds. Regulary now cadets have been missing out on activities due to the lack of a Squadron owned vehicle, and with only so many staff that can drive and provide transport we are really struggling.

 

Operation Transport is your chance to help your local Air Cadet unit. We are looking for individuals or business, small or big to contribute or sponsor us. Anything that you or they could contribute would be greatly appriciated and would really bolster the funds the cadets have been raising through their hard work.
